Got this right after X-Mas along with amped up antenna now got best both worlds Roku 3 I get movies I want to watch Netflix and no bloated cable bill Keep up the good work I love my Roku

I got the Roku 3 as a Christmas gift. I absolutely love it. I already has a Netflix and Hulu account and would watch my videos on either my laptop or phone. People don't really understand what a Roku does. It turns your regular TV into a smart TV so that you can stream things from online and watch on your TV screen. Also Roku gives you access to a number of free channels so that you can watch documentaries, watch Indie films etc... They have a little something for everyone. The only thing I wish the Roku had was the ability to operate more than one device.

Easiest hookup ever!

I had this new tiny box connected within five minutes of removing it from the box. The controls are idiot-proof and the speed from "on" to "Netflix" (for example) is immediate.

The roku 3 is well worth the money even though you cannot actually surf the web. I was hoping that it included C-Span but it did include RT-Russia Today. It is a bit misleading to say that it includes Facebook when it doesn't actually display you and your friends posts. However there is enough other free links to make it worth while.

Bought this instead of upgrading my HDTV to a Smart TV.. This little player saved me so much money and it is packed with features .. The only thing I would change is maybe adding a web browser.. But is still Awesome.. Tons of free channels..

Faster than Apple TV, good options

As a current Apple TV owner (gen 3) I have found the Roku to be at least twice as fast if not 3 times as fast at loading common apps like Netflix and Hulu. If it could play Apple music and video, it'd be the ultimate machine. Really like the headphones with the remote control, but I have found it can be glitchy with the sound and gets frustrating. Overall, it's am amazing little machine, if you don't have an Apple TV, get a Roku, if you do . . . up to you.

Showtime and HBO will soon be "old school" with these devices taking over. I have access to hundreds of movies "on demand" any time I want them at a fraction of the price! And, I don't need a satellite dish with a bunch of equipment. Hello DIRECTV! Anybody home?
