Better than Cable!

Love my Roku's features. Everything seems to work for the most part. I have noticed that it does need to be restarted quite a bit, but all in all, it works great. would be nice if there was a way to turn it off when not using it.

Bought as a gift for my wife. Was the best thing I did. The choices of shows and movies is great and the ability to get the channels without all the garbage we don't we really want is great. Plus we get many channels only available for more money on Cable. Will be cancelling Cable when our contract runs out. Roku takes care of all our entertainment needs. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Almost perfect

Been trying to get rid of cable and consolidate services to one box. Been using a HTPC with media center for a few years with moderate success. The Roku 3 is almost the perfect device. It needs 2 things to put it over the top.
Better streaming of local/network files. Plex is fine but without would be even better. I want to stream BluRay quality movies in any format (mkv, iso etc.) from my network.
Also, live tv. It needs the ability to stream live tv from a HDHomerun (or similar) device without additional computer software. The live tv channel needs to act like a cable box with a guide etc. Maybe even have the ability to hook in a usb drive for dvr functionality
I would pay double for a box that also did the above things. NFL Sunday Ticket channel would be nice as well.

Everything has been great with my new roku except the remote quit working after the first use. Luckily I was able to download the app for my iPhone but nonetheless I would like a new remote. Thanks!
