Works Great - Only one negative

The Roku3 works beautifully. It was easy to install and it's easy to use. The only negative I have and it really bugs me is that it is constantly broadcasting a Wi-Fi connection of DIRECT-ROKU-XXXX. There is no way to disable it. I'm using a wired connection and have no need of the Wi-Fi setup. I'd recommend this product to people if they would fix the constant Wi-Fi broadcasting problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Changing the way I watch Television

With 150+ channels on my satellite you'd think I'd always be able to find something interesting to watch, but oddly enough not as much as one would think. I know, I can record programs and time shift, etc., but the Roku has opened up a new world and given me total control of my viewing. Series that I never watched when they were first running, being able to go back to old Dr. Who episodes at will, finding a great movie that you had never heard of (the wife and I watched a Robert Duval movie the other evening that we had never heard about and had to be very recent and we were still talking about it the next day), new content that's not available on broadcast/cable/satellite TV. Best gadget I've bought in years.

I was torn between the Roku3 system and the Amazon system. Finally decided on the Roku3 player and have no regrets. The channel selections are enormous and the system is very easy to use.

I bought this ROKU 3 streaming player for a Christmas present for myself. So easy to setup and use. I do wish they had more prime time TV shows available to watch. I kinda rebel against paying to watch a season's worth.

I got the Roku 3 as a Christmas gift, the plan was to retire the Wii I had been using to stream Netflix. It does a perfect job of replacing a Nintendo Wii for streaming and has some features that I have found useful. I like the fact that I can stream full 1080P content whereas the Nintendo Wii maxed out at 720P. The remote is easy to use, a lot less buttons than the Wii and it is much faster when it comes to response to button pushes. I have not yet used all the channels but so far it has surpassed my expectations.

I was so easy to get rid of cable with my roku, my husband even made the adjustment quite well.. Lol
