The Future of TV Watching

I've debated a long time about cutting the cable cord and decided to try the Roku 3 and see if I could go a month without turning on the cable box. So far so good. Paying for what I watch when I want to watch it is the way to go.

Love the set-up ease and the channel selection

Love the set-up ease, the channel selection, and the simplicity of it all. I have recommended it to a lot of people. I have both 1 and 3. I like the #1 the best because the #3 has flaws and shut down of channels (resetting of ROKU. I recommend it to many people who are not tech savy!

I bought this for a Christmas gift to the family, after keeping it for 2-3 weeks I found it not worth keeping. As far as movies go there were plenty of options but most were the same for each app. I currently have Vudu and Amazon Prime. They had the same options. When my Amazon Prime is up I am going to cancel it. As for the Roku, I took it back to the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my Roku

I absolutely love my purchase, and wish I had bought it earlier. We cut the cable cord and went to free TV six months earlier, and Roku has made a huge difference in our TV watching pleasure.

Very solid media streaming player

We got this on a deal for a refurbished media player. I think it's the most solid media player I have come to use. I've used blu-Ray media streamers, smart TV's, Xbox 360, Apple TV, Wii and Wii U and this is just a fast, intuitive and easy to use menu. I have only two complaints. I wish it had more options for plug in media and file formats. The other is the headphones don't fit and the couple I've used i their place get some sound distortion and skip from time to time. Not a huge deal breaker due to that I don't use them often enough to be a problem. I would buy another one if the need for one ever came up. Superior product!
