LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE EARPHONES IN THE REMOTE FUNCTIONALITY! There are so many options and features with this device! It's a little complex for my parents but they will get there. It took them over a year to figure Netflix out. The contrast between the text and background is faint which makes it difficult to do searches(even with my eyes, in case you were thinking the issue may be they are older). Of course, this could be the t.v. too as it is 2 years old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The only thing that is confusing is the controls for closed caption(CC), they are not in the Settings, but in the pause, rewind, FF control in a tiny box, otherwise its cool.

Great way to load netflix. We are using an antenna for local programming and the roku for streaming. Limited free content and no NASCAR paid service available .

Great speed AND features

This is an addition to the Roku 2 I purchased last year. The Roku 3 is fantastic. The only downside with the new software is that there is no "indicator" that shows how many selections are available in a given genre and which selection # is being displayed.( eg 2 of 45)

Way better than the Apple TV

The Roku3 is awesome. The performance and features make it definitely worth the upgrade. We had an Apple TV for years (a gift), and had to put up with inconsistent software updates, and new channels being pushed to our device, whether we wanted them or not. And whenever we had any issues with the Apple TV, the Apple troubleshooting website was useless.
The Roku3 rocks!
