Got it for Christmas and it was up and running in minutes. Works so much better than streaming through just the TV. netflix used to drop all of the time or fail to connect, it does not drop with the Roku!

Way faster than my Roku 2 XS. The new Netflix app on Roku 3 is awesome. Seriously the best streaming box available. Let's you choose your home screen and doesn't lock you into a particular ecosystem.

Also use Apple TV, Playstation, Tivo, Smart TV.

Roku 3 is favorite. Tivo remote is easier to use, but overall user interface is best on
Roku. I have not yet used the earbuds, but it is a feature that adds value. Every Smart TV streaming that I have tried is worthless. Apple TV and Tivo did not support Amazon Prime, (since corrected by Tivo) and the Playstation is a little cumbersome. I like RF remote, and earbuds.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to really purchase a device to stream movies, i figured with tv and on demand I was okay. But, after having so many options to stream tv shows and movies which you will never get via your cable provider, i am happy i got roku player. I watched the walking dead and the americans which were great, the quality of the pictures was excellent, it has a great interface very happy.

We bought the Roku 3 after years of dealing with a smart streaming blue ray dvd player. Tired of the slow connections, resetting passwords, and freezing whenever we did get it work. Using the Roku 3, we have never had a problem. Worked perfectly right out of the box! Highly recommend.

I bought this roku for Christmas, and I am so glad I did! I had been using an old bluray player with Internet capabilities, and it had been running so slowly! I decided to get the roku and the difference is like night and day! My only complaint is that it sometimes decides to go to a purple screen that says content access restricted, or something like that. Then you just have to unplug it for a second and that goes away.
