A Happy Addition to the Family

After two years of suggesting, prodding and probing, our dear friend and next door neighbor surprised us with the gift of a Roku for Christmas. We had been suspect of having the device and access to Netflix as we were dedicated to our local video shop and not being highly technology oriented, we somewhat feared additional "equipment" to add to the multiple clicking devices we already had at hand.
With assistance and set-up as well as a short lesson in operation, she left us to our own devices and exploration. I might add that our neighbor did add two selection lists to our guide the next day. With a little experimentation and some "oops" here and there, we began our new experience with Roku.
We are more than delighted to report that this little piece of technology has broadened our viewing experience and has even made us dedicated and addicted viewers of several documentary series and dramas.
We send our sincere thanks for your foresight in development and technology. One small note, it might be of some assistance to the technologically illiterate to add some operating assistance in set up and operational process in the form of a small manual of some type. We also hope that future viewing options might include newer releases in movie choices. Otherwise, it's an excellent product! Thanks.

Saves $$$ on expensive satellite. Easy to use!

I have Roku's on three TVs for almost a year and do not miss the satellite at all. My 8 year old has plenty of content to keep him satisfied. People are changing how they watch TV and this is on the cutting edge. We binge watch shows. No need to wait week to week. Just get Amazon Prime and Netflix and you are good to go!!

Use all the time

Thie is my second Roku, I upgraded from Roku 2 and enjoy the cleaner interface. We rarely watch TV now, mostly streaming and like the convenience of being able to see programs when we want to watch rather than be tied to the providers timetable.

it's time to cut the cord and this is the best way to do it .. i have a roku 2 and now i got a roku 3 too .. i love the headphone input .. with a decent set of headphones the sound is great and you don't have to disturb the mrs. we gave 3 roku's this year as christmas presents to the kids and grandkids and everybody loves em ..

Great way to save money.

Sometimes has a problem with loosing the connection and hanging up. There is no on/off switch, so you just have to unplug it to reset.

Best toy i ever bought

I bought my Roku about 2 months ago and the kids can't stay away from it at night and on the weekends. Lol. Best item I ever bought. I'm really happy with it. Everybody should buy one. We watch YouTube, a&e, play angry birds, movies, and Netflix. Incredible product, thanks Roku!

Never Looking Back!

We have been with Roku since the beginning, and have watched the entertainment choices in content grow consistently. Others like Amazon and Apple try to compete, but they are a day late, and a dollar short. If you are still paying for cable or satellite, then you are still living in the past. Make the switch to the new millennium, and save the money you are throwing away on the stone-age.
