Roku 3 is great...however....

I love my Roku 3 and after having added a small 4 gig card, find that I can even stream via my cell phone service (4g LTE), however, there is a strong push by ROKU company toward pay services, which is annoying. I would like to be able to watch local free TV streaming without having to navigate through tons of levels of adverts pushing me to HULU plus etc. For example, I would like to watch last week's FrontLine/Nova/from PBS, or last week's the flash, or Marvel's show on CBS (most networks make you wait a week before you can watch a show on line-which is ok with me), and I actually have to stream the network through my cell phone to watch the free online TV on the ROKU ... truthfully, I am considering an alternative service because I wish to control my viewing and not deal with other companies kick-back agreements.
Hardware wise, the ROKU box is great, the remote however gets "confused" often and I find that I have to pull the batteries out and put them back in at least once a week. Setup is easy and AMAZING and the box itself has been 100% reliable. Now that I have tried it, I strongly recommend you add a memory card which makes the streaming and the ability to store preferences even better (right now I have a 4gig in there, I intend to put in a 32gig once I have the change).

TV is TV Again!

Great product and totally addicted. I used to watch all my netflix and hulu on my computer but no more. The roku pulls you away from the computer and puts the fun back in your TV, just like it was in the old days. The features of roku are great and all the good apps that you can download. Theres a lot of stuff to choose from to watch. I highly recommend this product to everyone, and I'm thinking of buying another one as a gift for a family member. Thanx Roku!

I wish I would have bought this sooner. This is one of the greatest purchases I ever made. It's perfect for people living rural areas that can't afford cable or satellite tv. Thank you so much Roku.

We love Roku! All it's missing are current sports options. No college or NFL options. Otherwise, Roku is worth every dime.

The Roku 3 Is The Best

I bought this with the intention of not having cable. I am 100% satisfied with my decision to buy the Roku 3. The features are great and the remote with earplugs is awesome. I rated the Roku with four stars because the USB feature doesn't have sound when playing videos.

A ton of channels
