Bought this specifically because I was told there was access to al jazeera, press TV and other international TV stations. Sad to find out, these have since been banned

I truly enjoy my Roku 3. The picture is clear and the sound is of high quality. It has also allowed me to cut down on my cable bill. I would recommend the Roku 3 to everyone.

So far this unit seems to be working fine. A few problems I have encountered I think should be addressed in future upgrades. It gets very hot. Too hot! There is no switch to turn it off. If it uses little energy, then why the heat? I have a remote switch on my unit, so that it is off when not in use. When using the headphones the batteries in the remote wont last too long. I use rechargeables. It is much faster than blu-ray players streaming.

Great until the remote stopped working. I have owned this Roku 3 less than a month and remote just stopped working. I Googled this and apparently it is a common problem. Tried the fixes that were suggested. Could not fix. I owned the Roku 2 for many years and still use it with another TV and have had no problems. Thought this would be an upgrade and yes at first it was with the speed of downloading but nothing now.

We don't have cable and only have PBS stations, so this works perfectly allowing us to watch a lot of our shows that we love.

We have had the Roku for about a month now and we absolutely love it, we do not subscribe to cable or satellite, we only have an antenna to receive regular free channels so the Roku has made our TV experience much more enjoyable. I would recommend to everyone!!!!

Whenever I try new technology, I'm always worried there'll be a steep learning curve, but there's really no learning curve with Roku. It really is plug-and-play. I plugged it in, followed a couple very simple steps that were displayed on my TV screen to connect it to my wireless network, and it was ready to go. The streaming works great, and the picture quality is perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great little black box

I was given the Roku 3 by a friend who knew that I wanted to be free from the constraints of cable: having to check listings only to find out that I wasn't available to watch my favorite shows, recording them and then not having the time to watch the recordings. Thanks to the Roku3, I can watch what I want when it's convenient for me. Not only that, but I don't have to pay for channels I never watch just so I can get the ones I do want as part of a bundle. The Roku3 is easy to set up if you know how to plug an appliance into a wall socket. Just remember that if you want to have your home theater sound, you have to plug the HDMI cable to your receiver. But that's the most complicated thing you have to do to profit from the immense possibilities of this "little black box".
