not a very useful product

It spends an inordinate amount of time "spooling" and is constantly interrupting the program to do so. It is a disappointment, and is virtually unusable to me. I have Hughes net satellite internet service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just bought the Roku 3. Have two others and will add a third when my basement is done. You have to know the purpose of the Roku to get the most out of it.

I have had a ROKU for years & love it. Got the ROKU 3 for Christmas & initially loved it. However, when I select Netflix it brings up in Recently Watched all the shows my grandkids watched on Netflix Kids and it makes recommendations based on those shows - yuk. Also, missing how many titles are in each ribbon of subject offers. Hard to see the show photos from tiny pictures - previous was much better for Netflix surfing. Love YouTube, value, able to watch PlayOn and Amazon Prime on ROKU!

We love the Roku. Retired so go between places and take it with us. I should get a commission for all the folks I have gotten to buy one. Really though it's Netflix that is the best and the Roku is how I get to it. Best $100 ever spent.

Fast interface but freezes and reboots every time when I try to watch movies from my 2TB WD My Passport drive using the USB channel. I tried a WD 2TB My Book drive but the player still freezes. Both drives work perfectly with my laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
