Kills AppleTV

We are an AppleTV house having 3 of them. The Roku kills the AppleTV. The Roku is super fast and easy to use. I have now replaced all 3 of our AppleTVs with Roku3's

Such a better value than cable!

We replaced our cable with a Roku 3 with Hulu, Netflix, and Qello, about 2 months ago and never looked back. A way better value.

With HBO and ESPN going standalone this year, and Ballstream being so reliable, I no longer need cable. At all. Just a high speed internet connection, Hulu, Netflix, and HBO keep me swimming in new content all the time, and the Roku is the perfect vessel for these providers. The only issues I have with it is that it occasionally freezes, requiring a reboot, and that it lacks a 3.5mm jack (not an issue on one TV, but I have great analog speakers on a second TV that are going to waste - a problem, because this TV's speakers sometimes buzz). I sometimes plug the remote into the speakers through the headphone jack which works ok, but I have to keep it across my large bedroom and the Roku Android app doesn't have volume control. Add volume control and this problem would be solved.

I purchased the Roku in hope of finding something interesting and serene to view when I had the time. After thirty years of satellite TV, I no longer find anything I care to watch. The Roku gives me access to Netflix (I am not a gamer and have no Electronic gear for that) and Amazon Prime which afford me wonderful choices to view movies and series without a lot of bad language and gore. I am a satisfied customer.

Easy to use great features.

I think that the thing I like most about the Roku is the option to plug in the earphones and listen to my movies without deiturbing my sleeping wife. This is just great. I have had and Apple TV for some time, the Roku is easier to use and accesses sites such as Amazon Prime which Apple will not. Also I do not have to deal with Apple. That is a great advantage to me.
