Love my Roku 3

I've had 2 Roku 3's almost since they were introduced and I really like them. I use them in bedrooms on TV's that don't have built in apps and I find that they really improve the TV view experience. The wide variety of available channels makes having them a real pleasure. The built in wireless works great and I have had very little problems with either of my players in the last few months.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still need cable and $$$$

Thought this could replace cable. Although it has a lot of channels, it is many subscriptions rather then one cable subscription. There is a lot of free stuff, most I have never heard of and am uninterested in. Many channels you have to confirm you have Cable to use, some you have to purchase, and others you have to pay per movie or episode. Less hassle to stick with cable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GR8 System, Weak Games

Roku 3 delivers just what you'd expect. And it does a great job. The remote with the motion control and earbuds jack is super.
The content needs to include better games to live up to its promise as a premier choice. Angry Birds is all alone as the flagship game. No other games take advantage of the systems potential. They are all either a simple (but sometimes good) keypad game or poorly designed.
An Internet browser offering would be a nice future addition.

Originally bought an LT. Liked it so much we upgraded to a 3, gave the LT to our kids, and bought another LT for my mother for Christmas. The only problem I have is when the channel images don't reload when it wakes from sleep mode. You have to navigate menu options to get them to load, but this doesn't always work.

I bought my Roku 3 about 1 month ago, after diligently researching various streaming media. Roku 3 was the highest rated of all the devices, either stand-alone or integrated into a disc player. Installation was straightforward, following the instruction pamphlet. There no snags or "do-overs", and in less than 10 minutes I was watching Netflix on my Roku 3 box. Since I placed the box next to my router, I use of the internet ports and directly connected the box to the router. This simplified installation and downloads take at the most a few seconds.
