Many Features, But Lacking A Few

We got our first ROKU-3 in December 2014. We liked it so well that we bought another for our sitting room. The dual wifi antenna configuration and the high speed processor really make this puppy zoom. The movies are excellent quality, and there is the ability to pause a movie for a break if needed.
On the down side: None of the ROKU family will allow you to download and install your own apps from the google play store. Also, the USB port on the ROKU-3 does not support a wireless keyboard. With no wireless keyboard, you are stuck using the remote control to very sloooowly go through an on screen display when performing a search or keying in logins and such. I would like to have apps available such as ESPN with no cable or satellite provider required. I only give ease of use and value of 4 stars because of the product deficiencies as stated here.
The good side really does outweigh the bad though. If you want a great streaming box, this is it.

Love my Roku

I did a lot of research before buying the Roku 3. The Roku 3 was super easy to setup and even easier to use. Tons and tons of channels and the app for your phone works great. You can go wrong with the Roku 3.

Freezing

My new Roku 3, purchased a month ago keeps freezing up - several times per day - we actually have to unplug it and reset it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good:
Had the new Roku3 for a month. Really fast easy to use.
Bad: Excellent hand remote control but died within 2 weeks of use. When revived via reset , remote works for 15 minutes then dies again. Useless! :-(

Can't complain

I bought this because I was having trouble with my streaming of Hulu plus on my Sony bluray player. So far the unit has worked like a charm. I have had it for about 2 months now and can't find anything to complain about. It's a great unit.

Love the headphone jack. Just wish I could adjust the audio a bit. Like bass and treble. Ever thought of incorporating a antenna?
