I've had my Roku for 3 weeks and feel liberated by being able ot 'gve up'/liberate myself from cable. I watched all 5 seasons of the Wire while finishing up xmas knitting!!!

Best Purchase Ever

I have no idea how I went so long without my Roku 3. Prior to purchasing the Roku, I would stream Netflix on a Blu Ray player and would have to run an hdmi cable from my tv to my laptop to stream movies I had on my computer. Now...........my Roku player does it all and even better, no hdmi cable running from my laptop to my tv! I have my Netflix account on the Roku and an app called Plex to stream my movies from both my computers with no hassle. I love it so much. The streaming movies from my computers is flawless, no skipping or stuttering at all and they are 1080p. This is the best purchase I have ever made.

Technical Support, is my first concern. I called to make sure I was connecting the Roku, correctly. The Tech I spoke with, explained things in non-technical terms, as I had requested, and was extremely patient and polite . The rest was a no-brainer (just what I need).
I would recommend this to a friend!

We cancelled cable a year ago. Was watching TV on our Apple TV until it stopped working and found Roku. Am very happy we changed.

Another great alternative to Cable!

My husband and I don't want to pay for cable. We have an AppleTV for our living room TV, but I wanted to give Roku a try for our bedroom TV. I've been very pleased! Roku has some of the same apps and more as the AppleTV and it's very easy to use. I'm glad we got it!
