I bought this around Black Friday and now I think I should have bought it earlier. It has some really good apps which I used to struggle with by connecting my laptop. It works great for me and now will start using more apps by subscribing.

Disappointed that Roku3 doesn't have composite out

I had Roku 2XS earlier and I really loved it. I had to upgrade to Roku3 due to some streaming issues with DishWorld app. Well; Roku3 resolved the DishWorld streaming issues but I'm so very disappointed that Roku3 does not have composite out; I am not able to use this with my old TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this player a few months now and am quite pleased with it. recommend the roku 3 over the roku stick. The stick seems to freeze up much more often and seems slower Like the headphone option on the remote. Wish they had a viki ap p available for Roku.

Not so great

I just set this up and while fairly easy for that. I'm not happy with: 1. It's performance 2. Ease of setting up channels 3. Performance of the ear buds on the remote.
This system would like to hit you for bucks and with they having your credit card info, . So far, would rather send it back and not have a darn thing to do with them. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!

The wifi is great , and the sound is out standing . I have it behind my tv so you do not even know its where . Only wish there was more free content . Seeing that I have had it for only one month ,I am still playing with it .

Perfect cable-cutting tool

Using Roku and the many channels, we were able to cut our cable TV and move to over-the-air (antenna) and steaming video. With the exception of ESPN, we aren't missing much, if anything, after three months. The Roku has streamed without fail from Netflix, Hulu Plus, PBS and Pandora. We haven't tried other channels yet. The earphones through the remote are also nice at night.
