Huge Library of channels

But... you need fast, reliable internet to enjoy decent picture quality and all the free channels have an annoying amount of ads and commercials that seem to be of better picture quality than the actual programs i want to watch. But overall the interface and huge library give us something to watch when nothing else is on broadcast TV.

I had tried a competitor on advice of a store salesperson. Sorry I did, but after I returned it, then bought my Roku3, I know how much better it is versus "the other guys". Money WELL spent!

A few glitches

We ditched the dish for a Roku after reviewing Consumers Reports and other websites. The Roku stopped working after about a week, and we contacted the customer service line. After a long period of trial and error we got the Roku back up and running, and haven't had an issue since (45 days).
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my 2nd Roku player. Great product. So much to watch thru it considering getting rid of cable tv.

So far less than impressed

We have been using an old Wii to stream Amazon, netflix, etc and never had any issues. We thought to upgrade and decided on a Roku. With the Roku connecting to streaming media has been much slower and spotty at best. All other decives in the house have no issue connecting to instant video, netflix, etc but the Roku shows connection errors on a daily basis. We are looking into other options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very happy with my roku 3 but at my cottage I have the HDMI stick and that one remembers where I left of in a movie the next day the roku 3 does not. It would be nice if it told you that you have already watched a movie.
