New exciting programmes

I bought this about a month ago and we use it daily to either follow a series on Netflix or to view the many free informational apps that are available. did not realize it was so versatile.

A bit disappointed

The quality of the unit and the streaming is very good. However it is tied too much to pay per view channels. The free channels are very niche market and specialist. Would benefit from a more relaxed approach to installing apps. Consistently get pop ups "not available in your area" or does not support adding channels from Internet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost perfect...

I have a Chromecast and enjoyed sending stuff from my phone and tablet to my TV. But after trying the Roku stick, I finally understood the direction of this technology. It seems as though Google is doing better but they are going to have a difficult time catching up to Roku. I have the Roku Stick to my 82 year old mom to help her "cut the cord" like I did and I bought the Roku 3 which really is faster. Anyway, my point is, if you want to cut the cord and get away from cable, get a Roku. You have so many "channels" to try and see for content. Combine that with OTA broadcasting from your local stations and you'll wonder why you have cable. The only thing the device needs is a reset button: yes, sometimes it gets stuck... You can either get off your butt and replug it from the power or do a button code combination. Other than that it's great.

This is my 1st Roku I ever bought. I mostly watch Netflix and WWE network. I like the fact it is portable to take with you when traveling. I hardly watch cable TV.

Music to my ears

Bought ROKU a few weeks ago, and am delighted with the features. I stream delightful music all day long. In addition when I feel like it I watch movies, in many cases for free, at my convenience. I have been able to discontinue my cable service and don't have any regrets.
