I had the Roku 3 , tried to hook it up to a older TV that was not a HD and it would not work so I sent it back .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry the Roku 3 didn't work out for you. For half the price of the Roku 3, you could get the Roku 1 which can be connected to older TVs using the standard red/white/yellow cables. Hope that helps!

The Roku 3 is great! I previously had a Sony media player, and the Roku is much better. The Roku is very easy to use, with a fantastic user interface. The user interface is also enhanced through interaction with the Roku app on your Android phone. The Roku has very fast response, and loads channels and content quickly. This is an excellent product.

Love my Roku 3. Because of the variety of programming available, I find I sometimes go days without watching cable TV. Easy to install and use with a great remote control that includes a headphone jack.
