I am one of Jehovah witnesses and I can watch Jw broadcasting. This is the main reason I bought this device. But much more than that, there are other programs available. I have already recommended this my Roku 3 to other JW's. Thank you for allowing JW.Org to use the Roku device.

roku player is good but the free channels (movies) totally suck!

Expected more free channels, not enough real family entertainment.
Entertainment without toilet humor, explicit language, sexual inuendo,

I love the Roku. It is really a platform for content rather than content itself--analogous in some ways to a DVD player--but the content it makes available is broad, very convenient to browse, and in many cases not particularly easy to find elsewhere (e.g. DishWorld is nice to have on the Roku so I don't have to get an actual satellite dish.) It connects easily to laptop computers via wifi if you want to be able to broadcast something, or search Netflix more easily for example. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who needs a product with which to enjoy satellite channels or others. It is far more effective than installing a satellite dish on your house. Plus then you can also move it from TV to TV as needed, even take it to a friend's house.
