A great device with a glaring omission

Everything about this device is fantastic, from the channels it supports, to the remote control. It is fast, smooth, and beautiful in its performance. Yet, it doesn't support AVI files. More than half of my video collection is in this format. Other media streamers support AVI. I spend so much of my time screwing with Plex servers or other techniques because ROKU decided to not throw a buck towards Microsoft.

So much to enjoy

I bought the Roku 3 and I am really pleased with the product. Not only can I watch a myriad of channels but it has games as well. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. The only thing I would add is access to more network websites for on-demand network programs.

I write these comments with only 2 weeks use -- slow with high speed internet, stalls often, each channel has separate charges, and expensive for the results

this is my second roku,i first bought the roku 2 and was fantastic,so i bought the roku 3 for the bedroom tv,best device i own to stream movies and tv shows,and has many free channels with great viewing,don't hesitate if you're thinking about buying one,it will be the best purchase you've ever made

I am very happy with my purchase of the Roku 3. It is very easy to set up and use. You can download channels and watch anything and everything. I also like that when you download a channel you can connect with your phone and watch whats on your phone on your HDTV plus you can download the app and you use your phone as a remote control.

It changed my TV life completely. Main reason I bought it is to watch Japanese animation. Roku 3 is very easy to setup and use. Great product!
