It's ok.

A lot of the channels I watch I already had access to on my smart tv, so it's kinda superfluous for me. Also, if you use the headphones, it goes through batteries like crazy. If you don't have a smart tv, it's good. If you have one, save yourself some money and just use the apps on the tv.

roku 3 is the Devil

So I cut the cable, and send with the roku. All my channels stream so much better on the roku than my PC, Netflix, Hulu and others are seamless and steady. The only problem is that it is too good and too easy to flip to the next episode of any given show. Dishes and laundry are piling up. I need to get some discipline in my life and turn off the roku, or maybe I can just stream music.... Either way roku is the devil and you should buy one.

Not missing cable!

I bought this a month ago. It was easy to install and is easy to take from tv to tv. I have had a few problems with it getting a pink screen and saying its incompatible but after I searched for a solution it hasn't been much of a problem just annoying which is why the 4 stars for ease of use. I love the variety of channels.

I like it a lot better than the Roku 1 but I have been having issues with the remote control. If it has not been used in a couple days I always need to take out the batteries and put them back in before it will work.

I've purchased 3 of these so far because I wanted to eliminate cable. I did that. These are nice looking sleek little network dongles. I had a bit of a time getting these set up though. They do have more included content than other services, but like those, in my opinion, most of the free content isn't worth watching. The device drops the network connection frequently and I have to reset them on the network (everything else on the network functions properly however). The stream quality isn't near 1080p and the voice quality is sometimes unrecognizable. I don't really need anything like this; I probably own 600 DVDs in my collection, but I wanted to try this out for the local weather reports; which you can't get anyway; I will probably just put up an antenna. instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our cable bill was increased beyond what we were willing to pay. Cut the cable and picked up the Roku3. Added Hulu+ and are enjoying every bit of programming.
Watched some of the other channels as well, but this is a 99% Hulu+ streaming device.
Only had one minor interruption, but otherwise the device has operated flawlessly. The quality of the streaming has been beyond my expectation. Glad we made the purchase.

Upgrade from satellite dish

We moved to Roku since we were very unhappy with the satellite service we had. It had a very poor selection and was expensive. We now have a much larger selection of movies. We also like that it has the Hallmark channel labeled Feel'n. The only downside is we can get our local TV channel for news and weather.
