Best one to get

I have four roku boxes. Three of them are the roku 3. I upgraded to the 3 because it has a faster processor than the others. They work great, also the earbuds are good to use if you want to be quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for the bedroom and travel

I bought this for my girlfriend as she likes to watch TV as she goes to bed. This lets her put on a show she likes (from Netflix) or a streaming game (on Twitch) instead of simply leaving the cable on so I end up catching the end of some late night infomercial. She's not very good with tech either, but she had no trouble using the Roku. Very intuitive to use, and she's even added some channels on her own!
Also a nice travel option. We have travelled a bit since we bought the Roku, and it's super convenient to just bring it and connect it to the TV wherever we go so we can watch our stuff even when we're away.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Device but intermittent resets

I purchased this device to avail of HBO & Showtime online content on my tv. The option to use headphones is excellent, even the supplied earphones are good. The setup was easy and it worked flawlessly for a month but now resets 3-4 times per week when watching. It takes approx 3 minutes to recommence viewing, not a deal breaker but extremely frustrating. Please resolve this issue with a firmware update as I don;t want to have to go through the setup for each channel again.

Fast! Lots of programming! Why did I wait so long?

Before I bought the Roku, I bought a Smart TV for my son at college. My son tells me that had he known how fast the Roku is, he'd never have let me get him the TV. The Smart TV just isn't anywhere near as fast and well-connected to all the content providers as the Roku. If you're thinking of a Smart TV, REALLY consider getting the Roku instead- you won't regret it. It performs like a dream.

My husband and I decided to purchase this device just to have access to a certain broadcast. But, we were blown away by all that it offers. WOW! We have shared with others the features and the reason to own one. We love it!

My wife wanted to get this and get rid of satellite tv. I was sceptical at first but now I am so happy that we got the Roku3. Great features and I love that it does not take up hardly any space.
The only thing that I wish is that there was a way to turn the Roku3 on and off via the remote.
