I cut my cable bill in half!

I bought three ROKU devices about a month ago to reduce my cable bill while enhancing my entertainment choices. It has been a complete success. I cut my cable bill in half, use cable now for basic channels only, and get everything else from ROKU.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Picture and Streaming. Lame Channels.

It works really well for what's available, but what's available is limited. We find we only use it for Amazon Prime, HBOGO, and FOX. We can't use ROKU to stream on demand shows from the broadcast or cable networks (The ROKU channels for these networks just show clips). We have to flip over to a laptop we plug into the TV for that. You can't actually use HULU on Roku, only HULU Plus. It is really disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don,t purchase without service warranty

My roku player3 willl not show 1080 without black bars on the side.I am stuck with 720. I should have purchased warranty.I still love it.

Its great! I love the channels. I could use the roku only without using cable. I like the netflix and amazon instant video options which allows me to watch different TV shows and movies. I also enjoy the older movies and TV shows that is offered through other channels.

There's lao thai Cambodian and other asian people stuff
Has a lot of hd content
Don't expect to watch hd without high speed internet

Nice device with a big drawback

I like the device and it's performance with the great disadvantage of missing volume control from the remote. In my opinion I d I not suggest stronglyrics to my friends who use speakers to tv directly. As all the time we need to walk to speakers to control the volume.
