This thing is the bomb!

If your not into the NFL at all this thing is ideal for you, all you need is an internet connection and your all set. If your a football fan than it may pose a slight challenge for you, but there are ways around it though. Get an over the air antenna in order to pick up over the air channels (which are all in HD by the way) to get the games on Sunday and then connect the Watch ESPN app on your Roku to a friend or family member's cable or satellite account to be able to watch everything that is on ESPN, 24/7, including Monday Night Football. You can stream the NBA League pass and MLB Extra Innings and MLS soccer through the Roku with no problem for the up front fee that they charge with no problem, if the NFL would follow suite, then cable would be virtually obsolete in my book.

I am extremely pleased with the performance of the Roku 3. I have the minimum recommended bandwidth (3mbyts) to stream HD and was concerned with the performance I would get. It performs perfectly.

I've been enjoying this streamer for awhile now. I only have a download speed of 5 to 6 mbps but it just works great! Thank you Roku!

I LOVE MY ROKU'S

I have had my roku's for almost a year now. I got my first one for Christmas 2013. It was a roku 2. We immediately went out and bought the Roku 3 because well that is what I was really wanting and my husband bought the wrong one. We have the Roku 3 on the tv in the living room and the roku 2 in my bedroom. It is very easy to set up. I watch Netflix daily and I also watch Lifetime along with a few other movie channels. I use my Roku to go on Youtube and do Karaoke. You sync your computer with the roku and everything comes up on your tv. which is also very easy. I listen to Iheart Radio and Pandora is there as well. I told my brother in law and even though he doesn't have internet he can pull the wifi from his phone. Yes his phone! So he now has a Roku as well. There is also games that are free or you can buy others for a very low reasonable price. You plug your headset into the remote while everyone else is sleeping and watch tv without disturbing everyone. I also have downloaded the roku app on my phone which is what I use most of the time. If you are looking into buying a Roku I would say buy it. You won't be disappointed. I love my Roku.

Great Streaming Box with one major caveat.

Purchased the Roku3 about a month ago as the first streaming player we've had based on the ratings at the leading consumer magazine. It is quick, and seems to have a great deal of available content. Menus are easy to navigate. Overall it is a great unit. However the one caveat that was not mentioned in the ratings is the Wi-Fi signal used for the remote control connection. It wreaked havoc with our wireless internet because it aligns itself with the same channel. If you change your home wifi router to a different channel the roku will change itself as well. For us it resulted in wireless devices not being able to connect or they continuously connect and disconnect. We eventually got beyond this by installing another wireless router right next to the roku and set it to a channel different than our regular wifi network. A pain but it seems to keep the roku away from our regular wifi network.

My Roku has completely replace cable. I love that I can watch all my favorite shows without having to pay expensive cable fees.
