It's fast

Better navigation & much faster than the smart TV functionality of my 2014 Samsung LCD. Also steaming (cast screen) from my Nexus 5 works much better than directly to my TV.

The Only Way I Watch TV

I bought Roku after having used it at my parent's house. It makes watching TV easy and affordable (no cable box that eats up my paycheck!). Pretty standard and simple to set up too.

Great Product

Purchased about one month ago. The only thing you will need to do it to plug it in (both to TV and outlet) and type in a password. Everything worked right out of the box.

I really love the Roku except for one flaw. It locks up occasionally and I can't get it to respond without unplugging it and replugging it in. The remote won't work and neither will the phone app. I don't know why this happens and it's not mentioned in the troubleshooting guide but there it is. I would also like to have a shut off button on the device so it isn't running in the background when I switch off the tv.

We were using the xbox to stream netflix. We bought this to keep the xbox out of our living room. We were at best buy looking for a streaming device. We were trying to decide between the roku, amazon, and apple. Several customers recommended this to us while we were there. Works great and streams from several services. It also lets you connect your phone or iPad to it and watch youtube from your device. You can download the app to your phone so you can use it as a remote. I like to use my phone to type what we are looking for since the phone app has a qwerty keyboard. It's really simple and I'm glad we have it.

MUCH better than steaming with the PS2. Very infrequently lose connection and that could be my network/svc provider at fault. Would suggest flat bottomed remote as the curved undersurface lends it to sliding off the couch which is only complaint.
