access to slingbox

I purchased my Roku to access my slingbox in another city. It does the job but the performance is not the same as being there. The steam to my phone is more reliable however the screen is to small to really enjoy. I would recommend this product but it would be better if I didn't have to buy the slingbox app gor my phone to use it. Also it would be nice if the remote control that comes with Roku controlled sling box so I could still use my phone.

Exceptionally easy to install and works very reliably. I tried one then purchased three more for family members. Everybody is very pleased with their performance.

Buggy

I bought two of these, one a month ago and the other two months ago. The first one works great. Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon Prime all work all the time on it. The second unit I bought constantly freezes while in the Hulu Plus App and will also randomly reboot at least once every two days while in use. If I pause the unit it will not restart whatever I was watching and I have to manually reboot constantly. It is updated with the latest software. I will return the second Roku 3 and buy a replacement. I am hoping it was just a dud. Also, the warranty is only good for 90 days, which is way too short for an electronic device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this thing several weeks. I cannot get it to work at all. Very unhappy with this thing. Do not recommend you to buy it at all.

I purchased the very first Roku Box that was available from Nexflix. I was happy with it until it got too slow. This new one the Roku 3 is a fast box and versatile so I can do much more with it.

We love our Roku. It was so easy to set up. We're enjoying Netflix, Amazon Prime and Acorntv British streaming service. Initially we had connection problems but it was entirely Verizon's faulty router, which happily they replaced. With this little cutie, you really don't need cable. When our expensive, lengthy Verizon contract runs out we're definitely cutting the cord! By that time I'm sure Roku will be offering even more good programming. Don't hesitate to get one of these. It's a smart purchase.

Good alternative to cable

We bought this in November in order to have an alternative to the high cost of cable and satellite dish. We have been satisfied regarding the amount of programs offered. What we really miss, however is a good weather channel with local radar/Doppler. The weather stations offered are not very good.
