Wanted to love this as have been mostly happy with XD/S model since it came out. Yes, all of the much touted features are there and work well. Unfortunately the one thing that doesn't work as well as my XD/S is the picture quality itself.

I must of got a lemon ... I have to constantly reset the system before each use ... I get " Unauthorized Content" screens and lose connection with the remote every few days and need to replace the batteries

Lots of problems

I bought my new Roku 3 about a month ago because I really liked my old Roku with all it's options channels and ease of use. Unfortunately, my new Roku 3 has been nothing but problems. I frequently get error messages and have to unplug it to reset sometimes more than once. It also goes into some sort of hibernation/standby mode when it hasn't been used for a day and I have to reset the power again. The one new feature that I do like is the earplug jack in the remote!

I am continuously having issues with having to reset my Roku 3 to recognize my home network. I can watch 1 movie via. Netflix or Amazon Prime then have to reset the Roku for it to see an internet connection. I have 4 First Gen Roku's that DO NOT have this issue. Another issue is that I cannot watch more than 1 TV episode without having to back out of the nextflix app, then reload into Netflix having to search for the tv series I was watching. I have seen multiple users having the same issues I am experiencing on both Roku and Roku 3 platforms and neither Roku nor Netflix has done anything to address the root cause of the problem.
Pros: Fast Boot Up

We rely on Roku to replace our cable and it has done a fantastic job thus far. We control what we watch when we want to watch it! Anything not included in our existing subscriptions we are happy to pay for and we are saving money over our previous cable bill. As a long time user of Roku, we are ecstatic about the improvements to the UI. Moving within the new UI is smooth and the new layout is beautiful. There is more content and more features. The video quality is better than what we could stream with our previous model (XDS). All in all, this is the best model Roku has put out yet. FULL DISCLOSURE: We received this unit in exchange for writing a review.
Pros: Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, High quality picture, Easy to use, Easy to set up, Video selection
Cons: Need fast internet service

Perfect for Young Adult Apartment Living

I live with 2 roommates and we have never subscribed to cable. Instead we were hooking our computers up to the tv in order to watch streaming content. Now we have access to Netflix and HBOgo without having to plug our computers. The headphone jack in the remote is clutch since the walls here are paper thin and the ability to use all of our cell phones as remotes and to play music makes it such a great and easy to use system. It was a pleasure to set up and to use. 
If we could improve anything, we would like to see the headphone ability to be able to go through cell phones and to be able to have multiple people listen via headphone at once. Also, it would be nice to have normal Hulu instead of only Hulu Plus. We already subscribe to Amazon, Netflix, and HBOgo so we aren't only interested in free content, but it would be nice to access the free potion of Hulu easily.
That being said, we love it and the end-user experience is fantastic.

I am 72 yr. old retired female & enjoy the opportunity to view so many channels. Many hours of enjoyment. The Roku player was a Mother's Day Gift from my son. This review is my personal opinion and support help has been great the few times I have needed assistance. Very pleased with the product.

The UI, setup, and product are all amazing. The content is horrible-- lots of previews, but no real "cut the cable" content.
