Great in theory, not so much in execusion

Most channels for the most part are worthless, who really cares about clips if you can't watch the full show. Seem like any of the good channels can be chromecast from mobile device where navigating and control is much easier.
Minimal buttons on remote often makes navigating through long menus/list a pain, that is not just for all the poorly laid out channels but the Roku menus themselves.
Granted my biggest gripes are about the channels but it's Roku's choice to give us these channels and it feels like a bait and switch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A little disappointed

I received the Roku3 (wedding registry) and it's been a little disappointing.
I've received the following error twice during the first month of owning the Roku3 - "HDCP unauthorised. Content disabled"

Not great with Netflix

I got this Roku as a gift from my husband and originally thought it was great, but after an update in September the Netflix channel failed. No matter how many factory resets, reboots, delete/add channels, my Roku 3 is stuck.....no more Netflix for me. I have checked online and others have had the same issue with Roku 3s.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE HEARD GREAT THINGS AND WAS EXCITED TO CONNECTED TO MY G3 BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE EVEN THOUGH IS RUNNING ON THE LATEST ANDROID SOFTWARE.

It's great. It's a perfect alternative to anyone who either
1. doesnt have cable hooked up
2. does have cable hooked up to TV but wants a lot of great streaming apps.

Easy to use

After the initial set up the Roku proved very easy to use. We have enjoyed using it almost everyday from watching shows to doing workouts on the workout channels. Highly recommend especially this model!
