Don't Cut the Cable if You Watch Disney

Roku is easy to set up and use - but if you're already streaming Netflix and/or Amazon on another device it may not be worth the investment. I hoped to cut the cable but we're still heavily into Disney and there doesn't appear to be a streaming solution...yet

useless piece of hardware

this was a gift to my wife from our son. everything we try to watch is an extra charge. We have directtv and basic cable which gives us access to 90% of what you offer. we have had it over a month, signed on many times and never ended up using it one time. I wish we could get our son's money back and put it towards something that has value........

Comparison VS Apple TV

I trust Roku 3 is completely better choice than Apple TV if you have to have long cabe to connect to Apple TV, which is difintly due to Wifi future of Roku3.
It is, of course, stability of connectivity between iPhone and Apple TV is much better than iPhone and Roku 3, however, this could be very minor trouble once you may recoonect them by on/off switching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had a Sony DVD player streaming content for Netflix. Always hung up, and was very frustrating. All issues have disappeared with this little gem. I love it!

wifi interference

The wifi direct remote uses the same wifi channel the Roku uses to connect to the router. THIS CAUSES WIFI INTERFERACE for all devices. FIX THIS ASAP. I have to unplug the Roku 3 unless I am going to use it and nothing else.

I can't give it a fair review until it is repaired. It doesn't work yet.... Hopefully I can update the review once it works. If we get it fixed or replaced, I will either update this one or post a better one
Roku 3 lives up to, and exceeds expectations. The choice of content is excellent. A couple of suggestions to improve the service even more would be to make it easier to find a particular movie by adding an easy to read Table of Contents and to add a "War" or "Military" category. All and all, a beautiful and productive entertainment device.

Love the Roku 3

I wanted an alternative to paying extra premiums for more channels from service providers that I did not really use to get the 1 - 3 channels I wanted to watch. Roku 3 is the excellent alternative! I can now downgrade to basic cable, keep good internet service and get the channels I want to watch; not what the service providers think I want to watch.
