Easy to set up..lots of options of things to watch. Streaming capacity is great..no time wasted with movies buffering. Really enjoying it.

I love my Roku player! I think we actually look at movies and things on Roku more than the TV itself. I wonder why I am still paying for cable TV. Duh!

The reviews led me to believe that the parental controls would be more full featured. Unfortunately, objectionable movie titles still get displayed when trying to select a movie to watch. Doing this in a family setting with children make this an unusable product for families.

Got this for Christmas and while there are many things I'd like to watch I am disappointed in the device overall. Constant loss of audio for just a second and once in awhile, video & audio both black out briefly. Also, when I tried to switch the display to 1080p from 720p, the screen went black and all I could do was reset the device. Now I'm afraid to switch it again and am stuck with 720p.

Pay for a box so you can pay more each month

I like to watch movies and received this as a gift. After trying it, I will rarely - if ever - use it. In a nutshell, it is just a connector to other (mostly paid) services if you want to see any decent, current movies. Definitely not what I was expecting. In addition, it is past the ridiculously short return time according to Best Buy's policy and I'm stuck with it.

ROKU 3 delivers a great picture BUT we had quite a shock when we got our Internet bill for the first month of its use. There is NO OFF BUTTON on the ROKU 3 so upon using the unit during its first month of use the tendency was to just leave it connected until it was discovered the ROKU is constantly generating HDTV level network traffic by "reporting in" continuously. It is not possible to toggle out of HDTV to standard. The compact unit was impressive until this was found out.

If I would have known that the Roku was just another platform designed to suck money from wallet I would have never purchased it. I would definitely pursue an XBMC platform.

It works great, but Roku has removed the international private channels and you have to sign up with Dish Network (DishWorld) app to get the international channels.... If I wanted to sign up with Dish, I would use my satellite, not Roku.
