I bought this player because I was really tired of over priced satellite TV and I already had 2 other streaming devices that didn't operate very well....a friend of mine referred me to roku and boy am I so happy that he did!! Best TV experience money can buy!!

This technology is new to me. My kids convinced me to go this way as it's cheaper than cable bundled services. It is working out okay but I miss current news and the Seattle Seahawks games!!

Content not as good as I had hoped

Mostly grade B or C grade movies for free. Who new there were that many bad movies made. Can be difficult to find good channels. Easy to find software bugs. However, with some searching you can usually find something.

We bought Roku3 and the remote will not pair. Not very good for GBP99, not worth the money. We had to search the Internet to find out about secret menus as the manual is so poor. It would not connect to the Internet. A lot of work and hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
