Happy,happy,happy! I switched from an expensive bundled cable package( most content which I never accessed)to my Roku. I have introduced Roku to my Mother,sister and brother.

I am sure everything would work good if I was in the US. Didn't know roku really doesn't work overseas. I am military and live in Japan. Therefore most of roku services don't work at all. So it was pretty much a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I still have my cable and as far as I can see I always will. I got this for my back room since I don't have a Tivo in it and didn't want to pay for a box. This also allows the TV to be "smart" so figured it was a win, win. I must say not very many channels (for me and my interest) but the Roku is good. I wouldn't ever use it as a primary but for my uses it's perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I now have three Roku 3 in the family. It's my goto player for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Twit TV and Revision3 TV. It grabs my distant router signal and holds it. I have Samsung and Vizio tv's (With widgets). The Roku 3 players widgets are 1000% better. Super easy setup and it always remembers your Netflix login so you only have to type it in once even if the power goes out. I have Comcast Internet only. No cable box.

I write about films. It use to be that films were available as DVD screeners. While online screening links have existed previously, I found out that a film festival that I usually cover would only have online links. In order to be able to watch Vimeo on a TV rather than hunched over my laptop, I got the Roku 3. I figured out how to use the "watch later" feature, and was able to see the films playing nicely on my big screen plasma set.
