Wifi remote interferes with my wireless network

Because the roku3 connects to the remote with its own wifi network, if my house wifi is on or near the same channel, I get significantly slower wifi performance. I tested this by removing and returning the roku, making me confident in this design flaw. The roku box does not let you specify the channel, moving channels as it sees fit. Very disappointed in this design. Player works well otherwise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently moved and decided to upgrade my TV. Adding Roku to it was a great decision and now I can watch all the shows and channels that I want to with the easiest machine.

I bought this a month ago and have used it almost every day! It's awesome to have access to all of the channels like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc. Great buy!

Crashes, Netflix will not load

Good product when it's working. Crashes about once a week and Netflix will not load sometimes. Have done a few resets.

I bought both the Roku 1 and Roku 3. They were easy to set up and operation is intuitive. It expands viewing options very cost effectively.

The Roku box was recommended to me by a friend. I also have Google Chrome however I like the Roku box better because you don't need another device to use it and it always ready. Just select what you want to watch and watch.

Cable Prep

After purchasing a Roku 3, the setup was simple if you had the right cables at the right length. After powering up the unit and wading through all of the registration information for the various channels selected I took a breather and went to Netflix. For some reason it did not download and after calling Netflix I decided to forgo the WiFi and made a direct cable connection to my powerline adapter network. This connection provided enough boost to the signal to open Netflix and the rest is history. A great product and I have consumed so many movies and Pandora audio that I can't believe I have lived without Roku for so long. Great job.
