I love the Roku3. We now own all but the first generation. The only problem is the remote. After years of the old remotes with the "ok" button in the middle of the side to side button, it's been moved down. That takes some getting used to. And that the remotes are not compatable with the other boxes. Lose this remote and you're sunk.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

I finally bought myself a Roku 3 (after giving four Roku 2 XDs as Birthday and Christmas presents). I actually use it to compliment my TiVo, since Roku has some streaming channels not available on the TiVo! The only things I can say about Roku are; 1) They are truly "Plug and Play!" 2) Buy one, you are missing out if you don't have one!
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

I had another brand it was very slow and way to hard to use. With this product I had it installed and watching movies in less than 20 min.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls
Cons: I have not found any cons

Great but still flawed

Bought this to replace the original Roku. It's a bit faster in loading Netflix movies/shows, but a problem exists that didn't exist in the original: when finished watching a series episode, it doesn't automatically go to the next one, nor does it allow you to go to the next one. I have to back out to the Netflix main page and work my way to the series again, every time, despot having 60Mbps Internet, connected via Ethernet to the Roku device. On a positive note, being to add (seemingly, at least) an endless amount of channels is great! And if you want youtube, just install Twonky Beam on both you Roku and your smartphone (it's free).

Keeps dropping programs

I had an Apple Tv next to my Roku 3. Watched the same app programming on each devise. The Apple TV never dropped the show or should I say had to reload. The Roku did it annoyingly several times.

Wireless connection constantly fails

This Roku has very limited options. It disconnects from the wireless often when no other device on the network has that issue. No server side setup makes owning multiple Roku's a pain because you have to repeat the annoying and drawn out setup with each device.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Poor Design, Difficult setup

Barely Works

I don't usually leave reviews, but the Roku 3 barely works. I own an older Roku (a few years old) and it works GREAT! I convinced all of my friends to buy one. But a few months ago I bought the Roku 3 for our bedroom, and it is so frustrating. Every time we turn it on, we have one of these three problems: 1.) The remote un-syncs and has to be reset. 2.) The remote has drained it's batteries even though it's barely been used. 3.) The Roku freezes while trying to open a channel and only works after we unplug and start all over. We should have returned it, but we threw out the box.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Unreliable, Poor Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
