Good product and bad wifi performance

The box has solid build, easy to use. But wifi performance is very unstable. I tried both 2.4G and 5G and also moved the wireless router only 3 feet away, but the wifi performance still sucked. I tried factory reset and it didn't help much. Finally I bought a pair of power line network adapters which solved all the issues. I will seriously consider Apple TV box next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The stick, was good (until hubby "accidentally" broke) limited programs, ok speed. But good for just basic watching.
Roku 2...I hated the software and returned it. I tried to update but it said it was already. Tried to get use to for three weeks.
Roku 3, software more like the stick, but more options and way faster speed. My favorite by far.

I have two roku 3 and they are very fast to work. However the earpiece set I have does not work correctly it cuts out.

The all in one box

The number of things I can do using my Roku 3 player is incredible. Its really an all in one media device for anyone looking to use media features, who does not have a smart TV. Most of these features could be put into a smart TV, but Roku really has almost every feature I could want. Netflix, Amazon instant video, other video services, media server to play videos, pictures and music from a network drive or usb harddrive, youtube, all sports! Just keep in mind, you need to subscribe to the services to use many of these (netflix, sports, amazon)... All on the big screen! Its great, along with the ever expanding number of channels to entertain.

I love, love, love this little guy. I was paying 150+ per month to get hundreds of channels when I only really watched 3 or 4 ever. With the Roku you can stream what you want to watch anytime. It is easy to move around the house if I want to watch on a different tv. Also, by subscribing to Netflix and Hulu, I can watch things on my account through my computer anywhere! Never going back ;)

I dont like any of these current tv shows etc. with my Roku I can watch the old sows from when i was younger and enjoy them

This is my second Roku box I have the Roku 2 XS as well Love both. The Roku 3 is so much faster than my XS and I love the head phone feature on the remote.
