at&t-uverse, the NHL and ROKU - Jacksonville

So, AT&T and the NHL can't seem to get along and there I couldn't get the NHL Network on cable in Jacksonville. I was really concerned that I was going to be jumping into a pool (ROKU) that I was going to regret. I bit the bullet and got ROKU and NHL Central and I would say in the 10 games I have watched this season - less than 5 glitches total lasting less than 5 - 10 seconds each. Not a big issue. Even though I got the ROKU just for hockey, I would say that the whole family really enjoys everything about it. I think we used ROKU more than AT&T last night. No regrets - should have gotten it sooner in life. Mark Miller

Freezes up

Mine seems to freeze up often. It stops and starts over again. You do get a lot of channel options with the Roku. I was looking for a channel with free movie content, with a preference for classic cinema. Anything with recognizable movie content has a fee.

Could it be time to cut the cord?

The wide range of available channels, from the big time NetFlix and HuluPlus to micro independents, like BizarreTV push me ever so closer to cutting the cord. The bells and whistles on my Roku3 make easy to adapt the technology to me, rather than me adapting to the technology.
Set up was seamless and I was up and running in a flash.

I have 3 tvs with Roku 3 on them. One of them every single time we use has to be reset. It is extremely annoying.
