I have had my Roku 3 for a few weeks now
I purchased since the TV where I wanted located does not get as strong a wireless signal so have it wired via Ethernet. The device works great, I do have good bandwidth but still video is sharp and no glitches. Did have to power off and on the unit one time locked up on me, could have been the remote and have changed batteries but will see other than that I really do not use the remote with games or headphones on the remote so would have been nice to get the Ethernet connectivity on a less expensive model without all those other features but happy with what I have so far.

Cord cutter review

I purchased 2 Roku 3's for bedroom and den in my house prior to cutting the cord. We have been so pleased with this choice that cable was cancelled 3 days later. Now when we get home and after dinner we watch what we want to watch...not what cable puts on for us. I have wired both Roku 3's via Ethernet cable and they have performed flawless. The only show we like that is cable restricted was "The Walking Dead"...except I found it on Vudu channel that Roku offers as one of their many channels. Sure I had to pay for a subscription to watch that show, however, with cable you are paying for all those shows that you don't watch. What a waste of money! Still mmmmuuuch cheaper in the long run!

We have been using the roku as a DVR for showes we aren't able to watch when on at the time of airing. I do believe I am going to cancel or at least down grade my cable and the cost.

- Good picture quality even with limited internet bandwidth
- Decent channel choices
- Easy to use
Bad:
- Support non-English characters
- Sometime unable to connect to internet
- Wifi interferes my home wifi network.

With Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Youtube there is more than enough good programming to keep a person busy. It is very esay to set up and navigate between channels. I actually look forward to watching tv now. I am very pleased with my Roku

The performance of the 3 is better than any smart tv. Just works. The best part for me is the headphone jack on the remote. I really crank up the sound level for movies and music even thou I have a really nice surround system. So cool. I have 3 of them.
