Bought this device with a doubt in my heart, but honestly one of the BEST choices I've made considering my TV. I'm able to stream Youtube, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu Plus and I got Dish on it. It's like an all in one but avoiding all the cords and connections. Overall I love this thing and recommend it 100%. Plus you can play angry birds on it!

I love how easy it is to set up and operate Roku 3. I usually use it for Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube and I can access my shows with a couple of clicks. No downtime. But my most favorite feature is the remote which allows me to plug in my own headphones and is simple to operate. I've noticed that the battery drains quicker than with an average TV remote (especially with studio headphones vs. the provided earbuds), but, for me, the benefit outweighs the cost. Roku 3 is tiny, light, and has just the right features. Setting up the channels is a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Big disappointment, let's be realistic...if we wanted to pay for all apps and services it really would make sense to just keep your cable subscription, I would highly recommend that you buy one of the other comparably priced competitor units that you can install XBMC on, you get HULU and that's about it, you can buy a Netflix subscription...which you can do without wasting your money on this anyway, there are a lot of other options that will allow you to run XBMC, many come with XBMC pre installed. If they allowed the installation of XBMC this device would be well worth the cost, but in light of the fact that there are other options that will run XBMC and some can be had for less money, this makes the Roku a very bad choice. Roku makers decided to make this a pay to play device and block XBMC, don't buy you can do much better for your buck!

All the hardware works great, but watching anything means subscribing ( read more $$) to other servers. The biggest disappointment is that I thought I could watch my computer screen on the TV, but no. I should have just purchased an HDMI cable.

Roku 3 is great. You need a sound splitter however to run through a surround system. Unfortunately unable to travel with because original ISP is embedded when setting up, only answer is call location ISP to reset, which is impossible, Everything else is perfect.
