The Roku turned my television into a Smart TV. My cable co is not compatible with Roku at this time,but I still love the Roku

Easy to use!

I received this as a gift a little over a month ago and I love pretty much everything about it. I am not technical at all, but it was so easy to set up that I was able to do it on my own in under five minutes. Downloading the app really helps with set up and usage. The only feature I would add is more versatility in the app. Like a way to access the search features and create a Master Watchlist in the app even when not at home in front of the roku. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product and I am already planning on giving at least one as a gift to someone else.

O/K but poor quality picture on many chanels

I bought this a month ago streams Netflix and hulu fine but many of the free channels have poor quality pictures and the same advertiser repeating over and over again some times five times in a row all and all disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features but a few warts

Have had the Roku 3 for a month and am comparing it to the Chromecast. Content and setup are excellent. Plex, netflix, and Amazon Prime work well and my wife likes the simple remote over using a phone or tablet on the Chromecast. If you can, connect the Roku directly to your network. It can play havoc (like bring your network to a halt) with your wireless network if connected wirelessly (I am using a D-Link DIR-655). Updates to apps sometimes cause them to forget your login and password, but this might be the fault of the apps.

Great little black box full of family viewing fun!

I purchased our Roku a little over a month ago. We enjoy watching old movies and programming as well as occasionally viewing newer movies. We can use this little box to fulfill our viewing preferences providing home entertainment in a way we enjoy at a cost that is budget friendly.
