love my roku 3

We downgraded our cable to basic 2 months ago, and purchased 2 Roku 3's.. We subscribe to Hulu and Netflicks and have cut our cable bill more than half. Buying a Roku was the best way to cut cost and still have the entertainment we wanted.

Super Fast but limited A/V playback

I bought two of these and love the speed and most of the features. I have several streaming devices and the ROKU3 is by far the fastest at loading the content.
My problem is it won't play many video formats (AVI, MKV) and is also limited on audio codec.

I have been thinking about buying a Roku for a few years. I'm not sure why I hesitated but I'm glad I finally bought the Roku 3. I use it to stream Netflix, Hulu, Acorn and Time Warner on demand and it's great. Set up took less than five minutes and the user interface makes this product a joy to use. I have never gotten the dreaded "buffering" response and it has yet to drop in the middle of a show. It is also easy to move around the house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm pleased with the performance. I have experienced a few "dropouts" but it may be because of Acorn transmissions and not ROKU.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Owned for more than six months. Best Netflix interface. Channel content is great. All the interfaces you could desire.. WiFi, Ethernet, USB., SD Card. Set up is simple and easy. I have 4 units..

An excellent device with a broad choice of apps.
Best feature: Headphone jack on the remote.
Worst feature: Sometimes overheats/locks up if used continuously for an extended period of time. (The lack of an easy way to reboot the device is extra annoying because of this).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased a Roku3 about a month ago, and I think it is a great purchase. I was able to cut the cable TV wire saving money that will add up over years.
