Great alternative to cable

We love the Roku 3! It is a great way to keep up with TV shows at our convenience. We also love the selections and quality of the pictures!

Roku is a viable option to paid TV

We have had both cable and satellite at various times, and were tired of the expensive options forced on us. We investigated Roku as an alternative and it seemed reasonable, so we gave it a try. After a month we dropped satellite (our only option currently) and are exclusively using Roku. Our monthly entertainment costs have dropped from $80 (no HBO or related options, just the typical set of options) to under $20 for Netflix and Hulu.
We don't get Washington DC channels, though local channels are still available via digital antenna, and White Collar, Bones, or Castle until the week after it airs, but we are able to watch it at our convenience, and we can pick up one we missed without having to record it.
I laugh when the poor folks try to get me back to satellite. When they say they can't give me our old package back for under $20, I tell them that when they are competitive again to let me know.
Several others have switched after seeing our setup, including our technically challenged parents.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best way to stream

Roku 3 is the best way to stream all your shows and movies. So simple to use and the main reason I purchased it so the kids could watch Netflix and Amazon Prime without me having to start the movie each time. Also has a PBS channel which is awesome and free. Setup was simple and easy. It just works.

I have had a couple of "streamers" and have had difficulty setting them up. Roku 3 took me 5 min. or less and it is easy to use! Lots of different things to watch. MANY Apps to use. I think I will get rid of my TV cable!!!
