Good alternative but have to reset too often

Would give 5 stars from all of the easy access to shows and movies except that we have to constantly unplug and re plug the device because the voices get deep and slow. This probably is caused by not having an off option. From an Internet search this seems like a common problem! Was hoping it was a defect to my Roku 3 and could be fixed with an exchange. Apparently Not.

Fantastic Product

We bought our first one several months ago it was so good we bought a second one for our bed room. We love this with ability to access our home storage in additional to all the great channels they offer eh Roku has solved all our movie and television needs

If I did not have to disconnect the power each time I was unable to play a show I had been able to play before. The audio will play, but there is no image. The message is about the HD content not being available. Tried another HDMI port and also another cable, as well as another HDMI device (which worked flawlessly). Dissconnecting the power is, so far, the only thing that consistanty resolves this error.

Good Overall

Unit works well with a lot of different "stations" to choose from. However, this unit heats up then freezes the screen - after letting it cool down - it works well again

Love it, but it has a few problems

I've been using Roku for many years and think it's a great product. I'm on my second one. That said, the Roku 3 has a few issues: power cord is too short, setup is tedious, and had a lot of problems due to virtual keyboard bugs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice alternative to cable

One of my friends - who has Roku - had me over to take a drive through the different features. I found the Acorn (British) shows a rich find, but my free subscription is coming to an end. It would be helpful to newbies like myself to have the viewing possibilities grouped by cost and those free programs so it would be easier for the user/viewer to make choices. There are some cable channels that aren't available on Roku.
