I am so happy I bought the ROKU 3 it is the best streamer any one could buy.

Google TV replacement

i cut the cable about one year ago and have never regretted it. I started out with a netgear google tv box and absolutely loved it but i started having trouble with the device and it finally stopped working. not being able to find a new one locally i decided to go with the Roku 3. I didn't like the fact that I had to give them credit card
information just to set the thing up. although the channel selection with Roku is very nice there were several things i could do with googletv that are not available with the Roku. Overall the Roku is a nice option and I would recommend purchasing one.

Love my Roku

I have been doing the TV Streaming thing for several years now. Have owned a Sony Streamer, a Seagate Streamer, even a WD Box, and nothing compares to the Roku.
And now that Roku added YouTube it changed everything.
Roku is hands down the best player on the market.
Another plus is that they continue to do firmware updates even the older players, and in my opinion that's why they are the best. I now own 2 players, and about to buy the newer Roku 3.

Great for online content.. not so much for private

Excellent product for Netflix, HULU and online content. Not what I needed. Streaming from home NAS was what I needed. Returned and replaced with WD Live. Better file/codec support. Also needed HD audio breakout for surround sound receiver. WD had it built in. Roku3 did not. I liked the Roku UI better, but I should have researched better before purchasing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was the easiest thing ever! Just plugged it in and it works. I use it when I run on the treadmill, my headphones plug right into the remote.

I've owned a wide variety of set-top boxes over the years. The Roku 3 is easily the best. The channels are great, the interface is dead-simple, and it just simply works. Special mention for the auto-muting headphones - plug a pair of earbuds into the remote, your TV is muted, and you can watch without disturbing your partner or the rest of the neighborhood.
