I love it so much that I purchased another one for my parents. We so seldom watch regular tv anymore. Will be purchasing another one for my family room shortly.

i own 2 of the roku boxes 1 is an old version bigger and square other is probably a roku 1 it is purple.1 of the main problems i had with the square 1 it would freeze up but after talking to support.i reset the netflix app works perfectly now.the small purple 1 freezes up when button on remote is pressed to many times.you just press home and it resets.i love both of my boxes it allows us to watch many programs without paying arm and leg.

Bought this to upgrade from my original Roku. I like using the Netflix channel. Sadly, my remote does not function so I am not getting the complete benefits of the player. Luckily my Roku remote works and I am able to get the basic functions. But really very disappointed in the remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Helped Us Cut the Cable!

The only reason we kept cable as long as we did is that we have two young daughters who loved Disney Channel. I wasn't too keen of Disney's shows for my daughters as they got older, however, so deciding to get rid of cable was easy. We already had Amazon Prime for the shipping and Kindle Fire perks so the only other thing we added was Hulu Plus. Everyone is happy and we are still saving $750 a year.

Better than the rest, thus the best

Having tried or owned the chromecast and apple TV, the Roku 3 (and 2 for that matter) is far superior. There is not much more to be said when you compare market leaders and find that, without fail, one exceeds the rest. In this case that one is the Roku.

Easy to use!

I have had my Roku for about a month now. I was previously using a Wii to stream netflix and amazon prime. The Roku is set up so much better for this purpose. You leave it on all the time so all you have to do is switch input on your TV. The Roku loads everything so much quicker. I have no complaints about it at this time and I don't think I ever will.
