Full of features but weak in the essentials

Roku 3 was my first acquisition on my trip to Us this year. I was exited to use it and as soon as I get to Brasil, I discover that there's no netflix app avaliable to use here. I pay Netflix, and in your box there's a picture of netfliz. But for no reason, I can't download netflix app. I'll not recomend your device again and i'll continue to use Google ChromeCast, that I bought for 1/3 of Roku price and works with netflix.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice but no surround sound without DD+

I enjoy the Roku 3. Very nice interface and quick response. I like the wide range of options available. Unfortunately I did not understand that the surround sound only works with Dolby Digital Plus. So now I'm stuck in stereo or simulated 5.1 until I can upgrade my receiver. I should have done more research.
But other than that (which is a deal breaker for me) it is a nice unit.

Cheaper then Cable!

I have Hulu +, Netlfix and Amazon Prime Instant video. With this on top of the ROKU 3 I don't even notice I don't have cable. Great purchase!

Probably the best IPTV device avaliable

I have used Apple TV/ChromeCast and Roku 2 in the past. The Roku 3 is a significant improvement over all of them. One of the major issues with IPTV devices is the remote....Roku 3's remote works flawlessly just like regular television remotes. The device seems to be bandwidth aware and adjusts the resolution of the picture according to the bandwidth available instead of "buffering". In some instances the picture with start off in standard resolution and then sharpen to HD in a couple of minutes. I used a old (N300) WiFi router for connectivity to the net and have no issues. I have recently had my house hardwired for LAN connectivity. Will be switching over to using a Ethernet connection and the Roku 3 should work even better. Would highly recommend the device.

Purchased two of these 2 months ago to replace our DirecTV satellite receivers and networked Blu-Ray players. They do almost everything we want or could ask. Great little devices .. Thanks Roku.
