Bottom line. If you want your TV to offer access to the Internet and provide all sorts of interesting content, then you have two choices. Spend big and buy a state-of-the-art smartTV. ....or spend little and hook up a Roku box to it. That will make it smart for less money and probably get you more functionality than just a smartTV would.

A dream come true!

It was serendipity for me discovering this fantastic device for my smart telly, now putting the telly in the genius class for functionality and ease of use and full satisfaction. I bought one that went back and bought two more Roku 3 units.
I remain a Roku man.

Roku 3 is much better than the Roku "Stick"

I replaced a new Roku Streaming STick with the Roku 3. The stick was a waste of money. The "3" works most of the time with Netflix, I have only had to cycle the power on the "3" a couple times in the last month but the stick required factory resets once per month.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Flawless Picture Streaming

I've had my Roku 3 for about a month. I'm amazed at the flawless picture streaming, even when my husband is streaming a movie at the same time on his computer. Occasionally, the sound will "stumble", but not often enough to make it annoying. Maybe twice since I have had it, it has been non responsive and gone off to "lala land" and I have had to unplug and re-plug it back in to get it to respond again.
The Roku 3 was easy to install. The reason I selected this model was because of the earphone jack on the remote. We hooked the Roku to a TV that we were not using and due to the location of this TV in our home, most of the time we prefer to listen through the earphones. That is why I selected this particular model of Roku. I also like the fact that it would be simple enough to move the Roku to one of our other TV's, if we wanted to do so.
In my opinion to make the Roku worthwhile, you must have a subscription to a streaming service, so I got HuluPlus and I already had Amazon Prime. I don't think it will ever replace our cable, but it's a good entertainment addition.
The only improvement I wish for is that there would be a better game controller for games. I love to play Angry Birds, but sometime the remote just doesn't give me the accuracy that I need.

I bought the 1st model Roku sold, It didn't work well so I sent it back for a refund. I guess it's been a couple of years and I decided to try Roku3. It is wonderful, works a dream. I stream full 1080 movies like its water running from a faucet. This is THE ONE to buy. Also my modem/router are at the other end of the house, no problem for Roku3.

I purchased the Roku a month ago and I'm satisfied for the most part. I wish they had more channels in news and exercise instead of inspirational. A lot of the channels that appear to be interesting to me requires a payment. It's great to stream on the big screen the Hulu and Netflix..
