I already had Hulu Plus and Amazon prime and I love being able to watch the old programs. A few times I've had to "reboot it" by unplugging the power cord from the back but it's a small price to pay for results I get.

I used to watch netflix on my sony blu ray player- it was super slow and never worked. I got the roku 3 and it is blazing fast. Well worth the money. Great product and easy to use

Best thing since the VCR

It litteraly saved me hundreds of dollars. I was going to purchase a "smart" TV or a video game console just to view *Netflix or *You Tube. But with my Roku that wasn't necessary. I don't know how we survived family fun nights without it lol.

Even though I already had a smart tv, I bought a Roku because because of the additional features that it offers. First, the number of apps available on Roku exceeds anything you could get on a smart tv: yes, everyone has Netflix and Hulu, but access to things like WatchESPN has proved really useful. Second I watch a lot of Brit dramas, and on Roku I have access to closed captioning, so I don't miss any of the dialogue. Third, Roku search is excellent. Put in a program name, and Roku will show you every service that has it (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, etc).
All in all, it's been well worth the $100 I paid for it.

The Roku would be PERFECT if you could offer live network feeds from the BIG networks...like ABC,CBS, NBC, FOX...real time local news is a big shortcoming in my opinion

I like it, but lately it's been freezing up when I try to back up shows and movies. I've only had it a month and it really only gets used on the weekends. Also, I don't think I'd describe myself as any of those options, but whatever.
