Hoping for better shelf life

It's a nice entertainment option when it works. This is my third Roku in a little over two years. If it doesn't last more than year I'm going to look at other options.

We first purchased a Roku 2 which we were very impressed with, over the last 12 months it has been used daily, with no problems. This prompted us to purchase the Roku 3 for our bedroom suite, and we are pleased we did, it was an excellent chioce having Wi Fi throughout our home. The quality of the units make watch the streaming just like watching cable.
We can highly recommend the purchase of both Roku 2 and 3 we have never had a problem with either and they are used everyday. Written by Peterllew

this amazing little item turns your tv into a multi-tiered all-channel-accessible marvel. with one tiny device, you can stream virtually every streamable venue. so instead of paying triple for an expensive blu-ray, this inexpensive item does it all.

Quiet at last!!!

We now own four earlier models of the Roku, none as sophisticated as the 3. My wife thanks you for not having to listen to the sounds when I connect the wireless earphones to the remote during the wee hours of the night. She can now get her sleep so no hassle from her over spending for this fifth unit !!!

Tech comment needs no elaboration, available out of the box content is between useless and a D. If you see it as a replacement for cable, you are wrong.

Roku was an experiment for us in a island wilderness. It works and works well.
We now have a lot more than the limited viewing offered by the normal
channels.

It was technically a nice little machine and worked well. However, it didn't offer me a lot of things I couldn't already get for free just by hooking up my computer to my TV (which it is) so I ended up returning it. However, I do recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a computer they can hook up to their TV.

Roku Fixed Slow Streaming with TW Internet

Many of my friends and I were unable to stream/watch shows on Netflix due to delays in streaming, lost connections. We tried everything improving wireless signal, doing a direct connect of the TV to the Ethernet but.... between the uneven flow of the streaming signal and lack of buffer at TV shows were unwatchable during prime time. The Roku3 works great. Fast reliable interface and connection. Real time streaming without interruptions. Wired or wireless it is fantastic.
