Great interface and features. Has playback issues.

I'm a big fan of the Roku experience. The interface is awesome, and it has a lot of good content. What I'm not so happy about is my unit slows down video/audio during playback. The video looks great, but the audio is slow, making everyone's voices lower. The audio is still synced to the video, which means the playback is slightly slower than it should be. Restarting the unit fixes the problem, but this needs to be done at least once a day.
Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My friend recommended a Roku after some struggles finding something that was a good fit for us and not too complicated. She loved hers, so we took her advice and were not one bit disappointed. It was easy to set up and it has greatly enhanced our ability to enjoy movies and music. Customer service is excellent too! My husband and I agree on this, it's one of the best purchases we've made!

Small device with great features.

Bought this yesterday in Florida (on vacation)and installed it right away when I got home to my daughter's house and was impressed on how easy it was to set up and lots of apps(channels) to choose from. I can't wait to go back to California and install this on my own tv.

The Roku has made our lives so much simpler. Everything we want is now on one little device, available at the click of finger (or two). The streaming quality is excellent and we use it daily.

Best streaming player

We got a Roku 3 about a year ago. We had an original Roku before that. This is the best streaming box for sure! Plex is such an amazing app for creating a personal media server, and the sound quality is incredible!!! Other than that there is such a wide selection of apps compared to every other streaming player. Thanks Roku for making a product that is developer friendly.

I would recommend a friend, I just wish there were an easier way to find what I want without having to go through search then type in letter by letter...it's very tedious. I also wish there were a way to keep track of movies or programs I've already seen

I got this a few months ago, wasn't sure about it at first but now am liking it a lot. The variety of channels is astounding, a lot of it internet tv, with lots of free channels. If you already have a Netflix or Hulu Plus account, it's awesome because all you have to do is sync up your account. Same with HBO GO and Showtime Anytime. It's also easy to use! I won't ever go back to "regular" Tv again.

Easy install and user friendly interface

Roku 3 is my second Roku box in my house. Roku 2 worked out so well, that a year later when I purchased the Roku 3, I further challenged the install process by allowing my technologically challenged friend to 'do it' for me. WE love the Roku(es) we own and definitely love the simple approach!
