Bought 4 sticks and if were lucky one works here and there they are constantly froze and unresponsive. Had them 3-4 weeks and the store won't return them what a waste of money!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

its great and very easy to use, and they have great tech support if you ever need help . I watch all the shows I love without the high cost of a cable bill its great, its saved me so much money. thank you roku for your great product .

I love it! We disconnected our monthly cable bill and we our saving money, and we have ALL the Chanel's we want to watch. It is to u, and they have a wonderful support if needed.

My only negative is that there is no on/off switch. You have to pull the plug out and put it back to turn on. Really nice product otherwise.

Mainly bought it to watch ESPN3 on the big screen. But I love the other selections as well. Set up was easy and so is operation.

VERSATILE DEVICE

I have one of the original, I believe, Roku Models, 2000XL, I think (without going and getting the manual). I have it connected via wireless and HDMI connect to TV. Performs very well. I enjoy being able to use my flash drives on it. Someday, will update to newer model.

Limited headphone feature

If you use the headphones the TV sound goes off! Bad design! There should be a choice to leave the sound on. I'm hard of hearing and without headphones I turn the TV volume up too loud for my wife. If we could leave the TV volume on under control of the TV remote and I could use the headphones at the same time with volume controlled by the Roku remote we would both be happy.
As it is we can't both listen comfortably with the current design. All it would take is a simple software change which Roku could do.

bad if the wireless signal is interrupted

my wireless router is not the best...when the signal is disconnected, roku says "try again", so I hit that after rebooting the router, and the next thing I see is the main menu page...losing the show I was watching and the place in it. Fuggetaboutit! so I returned it and switched to a blu-ray player which streams using a good old fashioned foolproof wire (and cost $10 less than the Roku!). Wireless is overrated for streaming video!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
